Philanthropic Opportunities
Overview
Individuals can establish a permanently restricted endowment through the United Methodist Foundation to support a specific ministry or church, clergy training, student scholarships, etc. These endowed funds can be named to honor a pastor, a teacher, a parent, a child or a family member. Our Grants Committee oversees disbursements of these endowment funds based on the criteria set forth by the individual donor. Endowment funds fuel the future by providing financial support for our next generation of United Methodist ministries and clergy leadership. “Those who practice extravagant generosity have a God-given vision and faith to plant seeds for trees whose shade they will never see” (from Five Practices of Fruitful Congregations by Bishop Robert Schnase)
