United Methodist Foundation Ministry Fund
The Board of Directors of the United Methodist Foundation created the United Methodist Foundation Ministry Fund at the June 2004 Board Meeting. The purpose of the Ministry Fund is to help the Foundation fulfill its objective to endow Methodism in western North Carolina.
In January of each year the Grants Committee of the Foundation recommends an annual emphasis for grants from the Ministry Fund to the Board of Directors for approval.
In 2005, the Foundation's Board of Directors decided to use the resources of the Ministry Fund to support the Stewardship Initiative of the Annual Conference. Increased stewardship awareness will be of great benefit to the Annual Conference as a whole.
