Stewardship Education
Overview
The United Methodist Foundation has entered into a formal partnership with the Western North Carolina Conference regarding stewardship education. We believe that Christian stewardship is essential for the development of a healthy Christian life as well as the foundation for the continued strength of the United Methodist Church and its mission throughout the world. Along with the Bishop’s Stewardship Initiative, the Foundation offers special stewardship events throughout the year for both laity and clergy.
- District Leadership Conferences
- Annual Stewardship Events
- Art of the Start / Bishop’s Convocation on Stewardship
- New Consecration Sunday Leader’s Training Event
- Leaders training for Freed-Up Financial Living
- Other events as determined by the UMF Stewardship Committee
In addition to structured stewardship events, the Foundation is always willing to come and meet with the leadership of your church to discuss ways we can assist you in the stewardship ministry of your church.
New, this year, your Foundation is beginning an annual stewardship award program to recognize exemplary churches in western North Carolina who've exhibited excellence in their Stewardship efforts. This award is called the Faithful Steward Award and will be presented at Annual Conference next year. Click here for details and downloadable application form.
Also new this year, we're Blogging! We've created a stewardship blog to offer reviews of stewardship publications as well as a forum for you to offer your own feedback or share your experience of successful stewardship programs, and curriculum. To visit our new blog, Click here.
