Leadership Development

Since 1999, your United Methodist Foundation has invested in developing clergy leadership for the Western North Carolina Conference. Under the direction of Rev. Janice Virtue, Senior Vice President for Leadership Development, your Foundation is committed to growing its capacity to serve our congregations by investing in wise and faithful leaders who will strengthen the health and well being of our churches, empowering them to fulfill their mission to “Follow Jesus, Make Disciples and Transform the World.” Through the Royce and Jane Reynolds Program in Church Leadership and the Reynolds Leadership Academy on Evangelism and Discipleship (established in 2005), we provide robust learning opportunities for clergy who are committed to making disciples for Jesus Christ. Positive feedback abounds from our churches, pastors and Episcopal leaders regarding our leadership programs. Because we are a ministry of the church and for the church, Leadership Development is just another way for us to promote the sharing of God’s resources through faithful, financial partnerships.
