Their History
Callan Associates’ origins date back as far as 1968 when Edwin Callan formed the investment measurement division of Mitchum, Jones & Templeton, a large financial services firm in San Francisco, CA. In 1973 Ed Callan and other professionals became fully independent by purchasing the performance division and forming Callan Associates. In 1989 Mr. Callan’s control of the firm was passed to its current roster of 40 active shareholders. Today, Callan is an independent employee-owned firm dedicated exclusively to the business of investment consulting. Their focus is to assist clients in the strategic planning, implementation and evaluation of their investment programs.
Their Mission
Callan Associates’ mission is to help stewards of assets manage their responsibilities more effectively by providing an objective, strategic, prudent process that supports their investment and business initiatives.
Their Experience
On a national level, Callan Associates works with over 500 institutional investors responsible for over $3 trillion in assets. They advise over 50 endowment and foundation clients representing over $50 billion in assets, many of which are located in the state of North Carolina.
