Education Programs
Through out the year your United Methodist Foundation provides learning opportunities for clergy and laity. Our participation in conference wide training events includes:
- District Leadership Conferences
- Annual Stewardship Training Events
- Art of the Start/Bishop’s Convocation on Stewardship
- Consecration Sunday Leader’s Training Event
- Training for Freed-up Financial Living
Your Foundation also works directly with individual churches at no cost to offer special programming and learning opportunities. Some of the programming we offer in a workshop or seminar type settings include:
- Planned Giving for Local Churches
- Faith and Money, A New View of Stewardship
- Organization and Workings of the Finance Committee
- The Why’s and How’s of Endowments for Local Churches
- Your United Methodist Foundation, a ministry of and for the Church
Your Foundation also makes recommendations of stewardship curriculum for the local church and provides assistance and resources for successful stewardship campaigns.
Some recommendations include:
- Living for Giving: A Wesleyan View of stewardship
- Enough; Discovering Joy Through Simplicity and Generosity
- Freed-up Financial Living
- New Consecration Sunday Stewardship Program
Your Foundation provides leadership education for our clergy and cabinet members serving in the Western North Carolina Conference. These programs are offered though our Leadership Development Ministry.
